WEG Motion Fleet Management

Condition monitoring to your fleet

Developed to bring more practicality and agility in the operation, maintenance and management of industrial plants, the WEG Motion Fleet Management is the ideal solution to monitor and raise the availability of the industrial fleet. Based on “cloud computing” technology, asset monitoring can be followed at any time and from anywhere in the world.

With WEG Motion Fleet Management it is possible to know the operational status of electric motors, low and medium voltage variable speed drive and soft-starters, smart relay starting WEG(SRW), gearboxes, gearmotors, compressors, among other assets, which are applied in any type of industry or installation. Through periodic data collection and advanced data processing, both at the edge and in the cloud, valuable insights are generated. This way, it is possible to establish predictive maintenance plans, observing the operational condition of the fleet (condition-based maintenance). This approach reduces the number of unplanned stops, optimizes repair actions, and speeds up the decision making process for the operation and maintenance team. The end result is increased availability and reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) of the drive fleet.

The Importance of Online Asset Monitoring

One of the main causes of lost productivity and profitability in an industry is unplanned production downtime. Most corrective maintenance events could be avoided if machine components and equipment were being monitored continuously (on-line monitoring).

The WEG Motion Fleet Management solution is a high-level tool for operation and maintenance staff to monitor and manage their fleet; o monitor and manage the drive fleet, through hardware for data acquisition, gateways for sending à cloud and software for data visualization and advanced analysis. With WEG Motion Fleet Management is possible to implement a predictive maintenance methodology, well orchestrated, and observing the operational condition of the asset.

Knowing the condition of the assets online contributes significantly to optimizing operational and maintenance resources, such as spare parts management, increased asset availability, and the reduction of (direct and indirect) costs. Additionally, approaches of this type contribute to the increase of asset lifetime, since, in general, a sudden failure results in stress and degradation of the mechanical and electrical elements of the equipment.

  • Asset tree for organizing hierarchy (customer account, units, plants, assets) and measurement points;
  • Registration of equipment by type, with construction;
  • characteristics to determine failure frequencies and criticality
  • Bearing database for diagnostic support;
  • Visualization of assets on geographic maps, in an asset tree and multi-level navigation;
  • On-demand and periodic reports on equipment, assets and plant operation;
  • WEGsense®: technology to detect incipient mechanical failures;
  • WEGsync®: technology for multi-sensor synchronous measurement for structural vibration analysis;
  • Customization of tolerances for temperature, global multipoint vibration and spectral band to generate alerts and notifications;
  • Daily notifications of assets in alert and/or critical state (via e-mail);
  • Backup of parameters of AC drives, soft-starters and intelligent relays;
  • Module for analyzing vibration signals, in spectral mode and in the time domain, to perform diagnostics;
  • Maintenance module with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) functionalities for creating and managing management of maintenance orders, execution resources and planning;
  • WEGscan application for sensor activation, instantaneous measurements and ODS (Operating Deflection Shape) analysis;
  • WEG Digital Notify application integrated with the Maintenance Module to speed up the flow of information to the team;
  • Specialist modules with Analytics and Artificial Intelligence for autonomous fault diagnosis;
  • Exchange modules for integration (via REST API) of data with other platforms and solutions.

Structure

WEG Motion Fleet Management is a modular solution, with a flexible, layer-based structure that adapts to customers' needs. Assets.

Assets

WEG Motion Fleet Management allows on-line monitoring of low and medium voltage motors and drives, as well as gearboxes, gearmotors, compressors, pumps and fans/exhausters.

Scan

Los WEG Scans y Gateways son el hardware responsable de la recogida de datos y la conectividad de los activos con el servidor en la nube de WEG, que aloja la aplicación WEG Motion Fleet Management. Para la monitorización de motores, se aplica el WEG Motor Scan y el Gateway Cassia X1000, la carga de datos puede ser a través del gateway o del smartphone. En cuanto a los accionamientos de baja o media tensión, la carga de datos la realiza WEG Drive Scan.

 

Camada Management

La camada Management de la aplicación WEG Motion Fleet Management recibe los datos de los WEG Scans y permite la exploración de las funcionalidades presentes en la solución, es la capa básica. Recuerde que la solución mejora constantemente y que a menudo se incorporan nuevas funciones a la solución. Además, los usuarios pueden complementar sus experiencias con los módulos de Specialist y Exchange. Se puede acceder a él desde cualquier lugar a través de Internet siempre que esté disponible un plan de suscripción al sistema, que son suscripciones anuales.

Los usuarios pueden ver la información relacionada con los activos supervisados, como por ejemplo:

  • Información sobre el estado operativo de los activos (normal, alerta o crítico);
  • Parámetros de funcionamiento como:
    • Rotación;
    • La temperatura;
    • Vibración;
    • Potencia;
    • Consumo;
    • Actual;
    • Tensión;
  • Historia de la operación;
  • Fallas/Eventos e intervenciones;
  • Alertas y notificaciones configurables.

Diagnóstico e integración

Con las suscripciones activas a la capa de Management de WEG Motion Fleet Management, los usuarios pueden complementar sus experiencias con suscripciones a módulos específicos como WEG Specialist y WEG Exchange.

 

 

Modulo Specialist

El módulo de Specialist aplica algoritmos especialmente desarrollados por WEG para el análisis avanzado de datos mediante Machine Learning e Inteligencia Artificial. Estos algoritmos se aplican a los datos recogidos por WEG Scans y generan así información útil, algo esencial para una gestión eficaz de la flota. Como es el caso de WEG Motor Specialist, que cuenta con un submódulo para el diagnóstico de fallos mecánicos y otro para evaluar el consumo energético del motor. Ambas funcionalidades han sido desarrolladas por el equipo de expertos de WEG y validadas en los laboratorios de la empresa.

Estos avanzados algoritmos de análisis observan y aprenden los patrones y desviaciones de funcionamiento del motor eléctrico monitorizado, generando indicadores de fallo por desequilibrio, desalineación, rodadura (fallo avanzado) y vibración externa. Este tipo de información es muy útil para el personal de operación y mantenimiento, ya que ayuda a la toma de decisiones, acelera el proceso de reparación y minimiza el tiempo de inactividad no programado. Para utilizar la capa de Specialist, los activos respectivos deben tener una suscripción activa a WEG Motion Fleet Management. Ambas suscripciones son anuales y por activo.

Módulo Exchange

El módulo Exchange permite al cliente integrar la información recogida y presente en WEG Motion Fleet Management en su propio sistema de gestión y/o plataformas. A través de solicitudes de datos periódicas y automáticas del tipo Web Service REST, los datos de WEG Motion Fleet Management se envían al sistema del cliente o a terceros. Para utilizar la capa de Exchange, es necesario que los activos respectivos tengan una suscripción activa a la capa de Management. Las suscripciones de Exchange son anuales y por paquete de datos.

 

 

WEG Drive Scan

Desarrollada para conectar los inversores de baja tensión a WEG Motion Fleet Management, la línea WEG Drive Scan recoge y transmite periódicamente datos importantes de los inversores, lo que permite realizar la supervisión en cualquier momento y desde cualquier lugar del mundo.

WEG Motor Scan® es la solución de monitorización para el control total de la planta de fabricación, asegurando, a través del análisis predictivo, el nivel de excelencia en el rendimiento de los motores eléctricos y otros equipos. Con él, los datos se extraen y se envían a la nube, lo que permite realizar acciones preventivas y evitar riesgos de parada de la producción. La industria no volverá a ser la misma.

¿En qué motores puede ser instalado el WEG Motor Scan?

Para mejor desempeño de las herramientas de diagnóstico, el WEG Motor Scan debe ser instalado preferentemente en los motores de inducción WEG de las líneas W21, W22, W50 y HGF en las carcasas IEC 63 a 450 o equivalente NEMA. No está prohibida la instalación en motores de otros fabricantes, no obstante, los datos de la placa deben ser ingresados manualmente y las herramientas de diagnóstico pueden presentar limitaciones. ¿El WEG Motor Scan puede ser instalado en motores accionados por convertidor de frecuencia?

Sí. El usuario deberá habilitar la función “Conectado a un convertidor” en la aplicación WEG Motor Scan durante la configuración.

¿El WEG Motor Scan está apto para operar en áreas clasificadas?

¿El WEG Motor Scan monitorea el motor en tiempo real?

El WEG Motor Scan realiza mediciones periódicas (vibración una vez por hora y temperatura/tiempo de operación cada 10 minutos). Los datos precisan ser enviados al software MFM para ser puestos a disposición para análisis y envío de alertas, lo que puede ser realizado a través de la recolección con la aplicación o automáticamente a través del gateway.

¿Puedo instalar más de un WEG Motor Scan por motor?

Sí. No hay restricciones para instalación y configuración.
